About Us

AK-EN MINING was established in 2007 by managers of mining companies that have been operating since the 1990s, with the aim of producing basalt stone for domestic and international markets. The company continues its operations at full speed. Since its inception, our company has aimed to work in a professional environment with a team of engineers, targeting quality and continuity in production and service.

Basalt

Basalt is a volcanic rock that stands out for its high pressure resistance, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, frost resistance, and high durability.

Basalt, found in nature as masses, veins, and flows, is black in color, fine-grained, dense, hard, and durable. Rapid cooling causes it to form scattered crystal structures within a glassy matrix. With these characteristics, it is an important volcanic rock belonging to the gabbro group.

Production

Mine Shaft & First Step

Basalt stone, carefully extracted in columns using our machinery and equipment from our quarry, is processed in its natural state and in specific sizes for sale.

Processing & Production

The sizing process is carried out entirely by hand, with skilled stonemasons using only sledgehammers and hammers, without any machinery, to transform the stone into paving stones (cubic stones) or decorative stones. Production achieved through handcrafting emphasizes authenticity, naturalness, material quality, and grandeur.

Classification & Preparation

Production paving stones (cubic stones), decorative stones, and column blocks arriving at the storage yard are classified according to their quality and size, stored, and made ready for sale. Being the product least affected by wear and weather conditions ensures that it ranks among the most preferred natural stones.
